A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT
First, I would like to thank you for visiting our website and giving our team the opportunity to serve you. I founded Marketing Arkansas to fulfill a need in the nonprofit community. I have been working with community and faith-based organizations in Arkansas and the Mississippi Delta Region for over a decade, and I have seen many organizations struggle between running an efficient program versus telling a compelling story to potential funders and supporters.
A General Scenario: Limited resources and poor communication
This is the basic scenario I see unfolding within many nonprofit organizations: The board and director stretch their limited budget and staff to their limits. Each staff member is doing the job of two or three staff members. Many of the program staff are well educated but are so busy running their programs that they don’t have enough time to clearly communicate about their work or take time to learn new skills. Often, they have every intention of taking a day out each month to write a press release about an event or a success story for their newsletter only to end up bombarded with a last-minute RFP, and all of those intentions of sending out a newsletter and updating their website get placed on the back burner.
Why This is a Problem
Unfortunately, this tendency of pushing off communications work until later will eventually lead to poorly designed reports, websites, brochures, and other marketing materials. However, these marketing materials are sometimes the only face your potential funders see before making a decision to donate to your organization, and if your materials don’t represent the best your program has to offer, then you may lose out on potential partners and funders.
Our Solution
Over the last ten years, I have been working with nonprofits to help them craft compelling stories and develop creative methods to deliver their messages to their target audiences. I and my team at Marketing Arkansas package our clients’ messages through visual images and engaging stories and deliver them through well-designed websites, newsletters, brochures, post cards, press releases, media events, and blogs. Depending on the scale and scope of our clients’ needs, our team can oftentimes complete an entire marketing campaign more efficiently and cost-effectively than hiring a new full-time marketing professional.
